¿Quién es: César Escudero Andaluz?
César Escudero Andaluz is an artist and researcher whose work explores digital culture and its social and political effects. His practice combines images, diagrams, interactive installations and robotics with speculative design, media archaeology and critical approaches to interfaces and infrastructures. His research addresses dataveillance, algorithmic governance, blockchain, precarious labour and techno-colonialism.
His work has been presented internationally at institutions and events including Ars Electronica, ZKM Center for Art and Media, WRO Media Art Biennale, Science Gallery Detroit, Hangar, Aksioma, Chronus Art Center, Tabakalera, NODE Forum for Digital Arts and KIKK. His projects have also been discussed in academic publications, conferences and books on digital art, interfaces, blockchain and technological culture, and featured in media such as Neural and We Make Money Not Art.
Escudero is a PhD candidate and lecturer in Postmedia Practices and Journal Club at the Interface Cultures Department of the University of Art and Design Linz, Austria. He has also served as a guest lecturer at Aarhus University, Universitat Politècnica de València and the National University of Colombia, and organises the annual event Sankt Interface.
